Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my investment accounts held?

We use Charles Schwab and Bank of New York Mellon Pershing for our investment management clients. Clients have their own accounts, for which we have limited access to place trades. These custodians provide web access, statements and trade confirmations for our clients.

We also offer a management service for clients that prefer other firms like Fidelity and Vanguard. Within this service we do no place trades but rather provide trade recommendations on an ongoing basis.

I don't live in Florida. Can we still work together?

Absolutely, we have clients in states outside of Florida.

Is Southshore Financial Planning "fee-only" and "fiduciaries"?

Yes to both! We feel that being "fee-only" and a "fiduciary" is a minimal standard any person should expect from their financial advisor.

What type of clients are the best fit?

We specialize in tax-efficient retirement planning and investment management. Clients that are currently retired or within 10 years of retirement stand to benefit the most from our services.
